Job summary

ReeVR Talent in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end design of bespoke automation machinery and material-handling systems. You will own projects from concept and layout through to detailed design, manufacture, installation and customer approval, blending hands-on engineering with technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and design within automation machinery or similar environments.
• Strong 3D CAD experience with SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery or material-handling equipment.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial project layouts and develop detailed design proposals.
• Produce general arrangement and detail drawings, BOMs and parts lists.
• Lead customer meetings to approve designs and discuss timelines.
• Liaise with Sales to capture project specifications and customer requirements.
• Manage projects and budgets, coordinating with Purchasing to control costs.
• Visit customer sites to measure equipment and verify layouts.
• Provide technical support and resolve design or application queries.
