Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an established automation machinery specialist near Farnborough. You will lead bespoke design across material-handling systems from concept through build, coordinating with sales and customers to meet specifications.

The role requires 10+ years in automation design, strong CAD capability, and cost-conscious project delivery. A UK driving licence is essential, with a company bonus scheme, overtime pay, and pension after six

Qualifications

At least 10 years’ experience in engineering and design within automation machinery or a similar environment.
Good commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Prepare initial layouts and develop detailed design proposals.
Produce general arrangement drawings, detail drawings and BOM schedules.
Liaise with Sales to understand project specifications and customer requirements.
Manage project budgets and coordinate with Purchasing to control costs.
Produce final build and installation drawings.
Visit customer sites to measure equipment and verify layout drawings.
Lead customer meetings to approve designs and discuss timelines and build plans.
Assist with technical leadership across the design office.
Develop R&D concepts, designs, budgets and supporting claim reports.
