Job summary
ReeVR Talent is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the UK to own automation machinery projects from concept to installation. You will lead design across the office, liaise with customers and Sales, and support on-site verification of layouts.
Candidates should have 10+ years in automation design, expert 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor), and strong budgeting and communication skills. A full UK driving licence is essential. Role offers a competitive package and bonus potential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher in mechanical/auto engineering.
- 10+ years in engineering and design within automation machinery.
- Proven track record leading projects from concept to installation.
- Strong CAD skills and manufacturing process understanding.
Responsibilities
- Prepare initial layouts and develop detailed design proposals.
- Produce GA and detail drawings, BOMs and parts lists.
- Liaise with Sales to understand specs and customer requirements.
- Manage project budgets and coordinate with Purchasing to control costs.
- Issue build and installation drawings and support technicians during build.
- Lead customer meetings to approve designs and timelines.
