Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Nottingham. The role offers full-time permanent employment, 40 hours per week, with salary in the 50k–60k GBP range.

The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team within a Building Services Consultancy and contribute to projects from feasibility through detailed design. • Professional membership – desirable.
• Degree or HNC/D in a relevant subject or equivalent.
• Proficient with relevant industry design software.
• Good time management and organisational skills, with a flexible attitude.
• A strong team player who is also able to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Manage workload with limited supervision.
• Deliver coordinated design with colleagues from other disciplines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and apprentices, providing guidance.
• Assist with setting design strategy.
• QA documents, designs and drawings prior to issue to maintain standards.
• Liaise with clients, teams, contractors and staff at all levels.
• Lead small multidisciplinary teams on project delivery.
• Attend client, design team and project meetings.
• Undertake feasibility studies and surveys.
• Produce load calculations and apply for utility connections.
• Produce detailed electrical services designs.
• Review subcontractor design drawings and submissions.
• Conduct site quality and legislative inspections and prepare reports.
• Apply industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations.
