Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd. is recruiting a Graduate / Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer for our Nottingham office. The role offers a clear pathway from early design to detailed technical delivery within building services, supported by an experienced team.

You will work on LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire and security systems, using Amtech, Relux, Revit and AutoCAD, with training provided and a strong emphasis on professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent electrical engineering qualification.
• Apprenticeship-trained electrician with City & Guilds qualifications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to learn design software including Amtech, Relux, Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design, size and select electrical systems using relevant calculation software.
• Incorporate sustainable technologies into electrical designs.
• Produce 3D models, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Prepare load calculations and support utility connection applications. Coordinate designs with other disciplines.
• Work to relevant industry guidance, British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Attend client, design team and project meetings.
• Undertake feasibility studies and site surveys.
