Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on a 12-month contract in Wolverhampton. The role focuses on conceptual design and detailed drawings for aerospace-related projects, with on-site delivery and close customer collaboration.

The candidate will apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA, using Siemens NX and Teamcenter where required to develop robust components and assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or HNC/HND.
• Experience with rotating equipment design.
• Proficiency in producing technical drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX preferred).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models.

• Participate in DFMEA and risk identification activities.

Rates: £55 - £60hr (Inisde IR35)

THE ROLE - Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to impressive project and program wins, we are seeking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support our client's aerospace engineering operations.

You'll need to have strong experience in both conceptual design and detailed drawing of components and assemblies, with experience in aerospace deemed highly valuable.

This is an Inside IR35 position that will require on site working due to the nature of the work.
