Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking a Mechanical Lead to drive the delivery of all mechanical systems, including HVAC, utilities and piping, on a major UK project.

You will provide technical and managerial leadership, review design and submittals, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance through planning, commissioning and handover.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and a proven track record delivering large construction projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience leading mechanical delivery on Tier 1 or equivalent projects.
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant health and safety training (e.g. CSCS or equivalent).
• Chartered status or working towards membership is desirable.
• Postgraduate qualification in project/construction management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical function and oversee delivery of HVAC, utilities, process piping and specialist systems.
• Review and approve design documents, submittals and material selections to meet specifications and standards.
• Oversee FATs, MEP construction, SATs, commissioning and system turnover for mechanical scope.
• Coordinate with electrical, process, civil and architectural teams for project integration.
• Drive health, safety and environmental policies and promote continuous improvement.
