Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to join a facilities management team at a hospital in Lewisham. The role is mechanically biased and requires a proven track record in commercial building maintenance with NVQ/C&G level qualifications.

You will work 4 on 4 off, 7am to 7pm, carrying out electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance, monitor plant, BMS, water treatment, and basic electrical duties while supporting on-site subcontractors. Salary is £48,900.

Qualifications

• Level 2 & 3 in Mechanical Engineering (C&G, NVQ) or equivalent.
• Proven building maintenance experience in commercial environments.
• Good communication skills.
• Multiskilled in mechanical and electrical trades.
• Knowledge of UPS, generators, power distribution, HVAC, HV LV is desirable.
• Leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant and equipment (pumps, motors, seals).
• Maintain Air Handling Units and FCUs; filter changes and cleaning.
• Water treatment monitoring and dosing checks.
• Plumbing duties including unblocking toilets and taps.
• Monitor BMS systems and alarms.
• Basic electrical duties (lamp changes).
• Maintain general building fabric and coordinate contractors.

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Lewisham. CBW is currently looking for a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to be based in a Healthcare environment in Lewisham. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (NVQ, C&G, etc) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working with the maintenance team on-site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance to the following. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,900 for further training and career progression.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor the mechanical plant
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
• Monitor the BMS systems.
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractorsHours of work
