Core Group is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical works in West London on major projects.

The role requires strong background in mechanical construction management, with proven rail and commercial fit-out experience and solid knowledge of HVAC systems. You will manage subcontractors, ensure safety and handover readiness on long-term projects.

Salary: £70,000 £80,000 + Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a leading contractor delivering major projects across West London.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical construction management, with proven experience working on both commercial fit-out and rail projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical works from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Lead and coordinate mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Oversee installation of HVAC, ventilation, pipework, public health and associated mechanical services.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other trades and project teams.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, programmes and RAMS.
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Manage testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.

Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Site Manager.
• Strong commercial fit-out experience is essential, particularly CAT A/CAT B, office or similar refurbishment projects.
• Previous rail project experience is essential candidates must have worked within a rail environment and understand the relevant site, safety and operational requirements.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, ventilation, pipework and public health.
• Experience managing subcontractors and mechanical site teams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, quality and programme requirements.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications and site-based certifications.
