Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of electrical packages across multiple projects.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver electrical works from start to finish.
• Manage electrical subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
• Coordinate with mechanical and other construction disciplines.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure installations meet approved designs and project requirements.
• Monitor progress against programmes and achieve milestones.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and resources.

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Package

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join an established M&E contractor delivering major rail and commercial fit-out projects across West London.

This role will play a key part in the successful delivery of electrical works, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, programmes, and project requirements.

The successful Electrical Construction Manager will have a strong background in rail and commercial fit-out projects, with proven experience managing electrical packages, subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, and site teams.

Working closely with project management, engineering, commercial, and site teams, the Electrical Construction Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical packages from planning and mobilisation through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of electrical packages across multiple projects.
• Take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical works from commencement through to completion.
• Manage electrical subcontractors, engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical and other construction disciplines.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, programmes, and technical documentation.
• Ensure electrical installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress against construction programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and specialist resources.
• Manage technical queries, RFIs, and coordination requirements.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure all electrical works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager or similar senior electrical delivery role.
• Previous rail experience is essential.
• Strong commercial fit-out experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, engineers, and site teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience managing projects through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Relevant electrical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• SMSTS preferred.
