Job summary

Avolon M&E is recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager for major M&E packages on HS2 in West London. You will lead mechanical installation works, coordinate supervisors and subcontractors, and drive delivery to programme and quality standards.

Based across North Acton, West Ruislip and Northolt, the role requires strong safety leadership, RAMS review and handover support, with a clear path to a long-term permanent opportunity.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical building services experience.
• Previous Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Site Manager experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Experience delivering significant M&E packages.
• SMSTS and appropriate CSCS card.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Construction Manager - M&E / Rail

Locations: North Acton / West Ruislip / Northolt

Salary: £65,000-£85,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Travel + Benefits

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Construction Managers for an established M&E contractor delivering major packages across HS2 in West London.

Due to an extensive programme of works, there are multiple permanent opportunities across North Acton, West Ruislip and Northolt.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will take responsibility for mechanical construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing mechanical installation works
• Coordinating supervisors, subcontractors and labour
• Monitoring progress against programme
• Managing site logistics and coordination with other trades
• Ensuring installations meet drawings, specifications and quality requirements
• Health & safety management
• Reviewing RAMS and site documentation
• Managing snagging and completion
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

• Strong mechanical building services experience
• Previous Mechanical Construction Manager / Mechanical Site Manager experience
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Experience delivering significant M&E packages
• SMSTS and appropriate CSCS card

Previous rail experience is highly desirable and could have been gained across HS2, Crossrail, London Underground/TfL, stations, depots or similar rail environments.

Network Rail experience is not essential, nor are trackside qualifications. Candidates who understand the processes, quality requirements and delivery expectations of major rail projects would be particularly relevant.
