Job summary

Pertemps West Bromwich in Tipton is looking for a hands-on Production Fitter to assemble and fit mechanical components, including hydraulic systems, using hand and power tools. Full training will be provided to develop your engineering skills.

The role offers working hours from Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:30, and Friday 07:30–12:30 with an early finish, plus a monthly shop floor bonus as targets are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mechanical/engineering/fitting/assembly environment.
• Some hydraulics understanding or experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Genuine interest in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and fitting mechanical components.
• Installing hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Following assembly instructions and working to quality standards.
• Carrying out in-line checks throughout the assembly process.
• Working as part of a skilled production team.
