Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to inspect vehicles and report findings using PDA templates. You will complete condition reports and work with the team to maintain daily site inspections, ensuring high-quality service delivery for customers.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, solid diagnostics knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence. Travel to BCA sites within the region is regular, with occasional longer trips as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in light vehicle maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, software updates and hybrid/electric vehicles (advantageous).
• Excellent written communication and interaction at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
