Job summary

Interaction - York is looking for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to conduct vehicle inspections, report findings via PDA templates and complete used vehicle condition reports. You will work with a team to maintain daily site inspections and engage with customer contacts to ensure high-quality service.

Regular travel to BCA sites across your region is expected, with occasional longer trips when needed. Hours are 8.15am-5.45pm, Wed-Sun or Sat-Wed, and the role pays £13.99 per hour with an OTE

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Excellent written communication and ability to interact at all levels.
• Full UK driving license.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
