Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to perform inspections and report findings using PDA templates. The role includes producing used vehicle condition reports and working with the team to maintain daily site inspections.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, strong mechanical knowledge, and a UK driving licence. Hybrid/electric vehicle knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in light vehicle maintenance.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication and ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
