Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic. The role pays £13.99 per hour and about £30,918 per year, with a bonus. OTE around £35k. Hours are 8:15am-5:45pm, Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday.

As a Vehicle Inspector, you will conduct inspections, complete used vehicle condition reports, collaborate with the team, engage with customer contacts, and travel to BCA sites within your region as needed to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in light vehicle maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics and software updates.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
