Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician/Inspector for a predominantly field-based role. You will inspect vehicles, complete condition reports and report findings using the PDA template.

The role requires solid mechanical knowledge, a valid UK driving licence, and good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues across sites.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous.
• Excellent written communication and ability to interact at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures and report findings via a PDA report template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports with accuracy.
• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within the region; travel to further distances as needed.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£12.71 per hour (£28,089k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Monday to Friday

This role is for a mobile position which will see you working the vast majority of the time at the Camberley site (GU17)

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
