Job summary

Holdsworth Foods is seeking an Assistant for the Butchery team at our Tideswell depot. No prior butchery experience required; willing to work in a coldstore environment. Training toward becoming a butcher is available.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant to work in our Butchery team at our Tideswell depot. No previous butchery experience is required but a willingness to work in a coldstore environment. This role would suit someone who is wishing to work towards being a Butcher as full training can be provided if desired.

The working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties includes:

• To support with the production of sausages and burgers.
• To pack meats appropriately
• Weigh and record the weights as of products as required.
• To follow hygiene rules in handling of fresh meats
• Be responsible for receiving deliveries and to check delivery against orders
• Be responsible for the correct storage and that the correct temperature is maintained.
