Rolls-Royce SMR is hiring a Senior Systems Integration Engineer for a hybrid role based in the UK, with Derby, Warrington or Manchester as a primary base. You will shape and deliver Systems Engineering capabilities, driving MBSE, requirements management and digital integration across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will lead work packages that connect requirements, models and design decisions, embedding new tools and workflows to improve traceability, data quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Significant experience applying Systems Engineering principles within a complex engineering environment.
• Experience working with Requirements Management and Systems Engineering frameworks.
• Strong understanding of requirements decomposition, traceability, verification and validation principles.
• Experience applying MBSE approaches in practice.
• Knowledge of systems engineering toolsets such as Polarion, Capella or equivalent platforms.
• Experience integrating engineering processes, data and tools within a digital engineering environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse teams.
• Experience leading complex work packages and delivering through ambiguity.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, defence, energy or rail would be advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and/or INCOSE certification would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development and implementation of Systems Engineering capability across people, processes, methods, data and digital tools.
• Develop, improve and embed MBSE approaches across the engineering organisation.
• Define and maintain frameworks that connect stakeholder needs, requirements, functions, architectures, interfaces, verification and assurance evidence.
• Support the integration of engineering information across MBSE, Requirements Management and wider engineering toolsets.
• Establish effective approaches for traceability, configuration management, change impact assessment and information governance.
• Drive integration between systems engineering tools such as Polarion, Capella and other digital engineering platforms.
• Translate business and programme requirements into scalable engineering processes, guidance and best practice.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities to ensure successful adoption of Systems Engineering methods and tools.
• Facilitate workshops and work collaboratively with engineering teams to solve complex integration challenges.
• Deliver high-impact work packages whilst managing risks, dependencies and competing priorities.
• Coach and support engineers in Systems Engineering methodologies and best practice.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering efficiency, consistency and data quality.
