Job summary

The Tutor Trust in the North of England is seeking self-employed maths tutors to deliver focused tuition during school hours. You will work with small groups (up to 4, occasionally 6), building relationships across a series of 15-hour assignments and reporting progress to schools and coordinators.

Applicants should have a genuine passion for education, GCSE maths at grade 6 or equivalent, and be willing to undergo safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for education and equity in access to learning.
• Strong communication skills with young people and schools.
• Ability to work within school hours (8am–4pm) on weekdays, term-time only.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver maths tuition for small groups (up to 4, occasionally 6).
• Track pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
• Follow school safeguarding policies and Tutor Trust safeguarding procedures.
• Communicate with coordinators and schools, and participate in training.
