Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Maths Tutor to support pupils in North Yorkshire on a part-time, term-time basis. The role involves planning, preparing and delivering Maths lessons to small groups within a school setting.

The successful candidate will monitor progress, provide feedback and work with the Maths team to support learners aiming for age-appropriate outcomes. DBS check is required or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong Maths knowledge and GCSE-related understanding.
• Experience tutoring or teaching in a school or educational setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver structured lessons to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons to small groups.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning needs and abilities.
• Monitor, assess, record and report on pupils’ achievement and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and identify areas requiring further support.
• Work closely with the Maths team and Curriculum Team Leader to support effective learning.
• Demonstrate strong Maths subject knowledge and relevant tutoring experience.
