Job summary

Central YMCA is recruiting a Maths Tutor to deliver engaging and practical maths learning to young people at sites in North Manchester. You will work with a nationwide team to plan and deliver programmes up to Level 2 Maths Functional Skills and GCSE, helping learners gain confidence and achieve qualifications while developing employability and life skills.

The role requires strong communication, planning and safeguarding awareness, with a focus on inclusive teaching and supporting progression

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage learners and build maths confidence.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Proficient IT skills and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging maths lessons to learners at North Manchester sites.
• Design, plan and deliver Maths learning that supports up to Level 2 Maths Functional Skills and GCSE.
• Help learners overcome barriers and improve maths qualifications to aid progression.
