Job summary

Central YMCA is seeking a Maths Tutor in North Manchester to deliver engaging maths lessons, working with a nationwide team of specialists. The role involves supporting learners to achieve Level 2 maths and GCSE, building confidence and employability while overcoming barriers.

You will design, plan and deliver practical learning experiences and help maintain quality through assessments and course reviews. Ideal candidates will have PGCE/EDT/L5 Diploma and be qualified at Level 3 maths and Level

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be creative and able to engage learners in maths.
• Nurture and empower learners to overcome barriers.
• Highly organised with good IT skills.
• Experience with maths up to Level 2/GCSE.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical maths learning to young people.
• Plan and deliver programmes up to Level 2 maths Functional Skills and GCSE.
• Support learners to progress and build employability and social skills.
• Assist in internal assessments and external examinations.
