Job summary

Central YMCA in Doncaster is seeking a Maths Tutor to deliver engaging and practical learning experiences at our centre, supporting learners from initial assessment through to GCSE maths or functional skills achievement.

You will teach Entry Level to Level 2 Functional Skills and GCSE English & maths, embed work readiness, monitor progress and collaborate with vocational tutors and partner organisations to support learners’ progression.

Qualifications

• PGCE/Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in maths and Level 2 in English.
• Experience teaching maths up to GCSE/Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and teach Entry Level to Level 2 Functional Skills and GCSE English & maths
• Embed work readiness, behaviour, and social skills into lessons
• Monitor learner progress and set targets
• Organise assessments, coursework and examinations; provide pastoral support
• Maintain accurate learner records using ICT and tracking systems
• Build links with apprenticeship tutors and external organisations
