Job summary

We are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a Harris Federation secondary school in North West London from January 2027 on a long-term, full-time basis through to the end of the academic year.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop strong mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills and confidence in applying their knowledge for GCSE examinations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Able to differentiate effectively for students of varying abilities.
• Able to prepare students for GCSE Maths.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach Mathematics in line with the school's curriculum and examination requirements.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
• Establish a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.
• Support students with SEND and different learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider teaching team.
