Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Nottinghamshire. Start ASAP on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The role involves delivering Maths across two sites, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment for learners aged 8-18 with a range of SEND/SEMH needs.

Qualifications

• QTS with a Maths specialism and experience teaching Maths to children and young people.
• Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH needs is essential.
• A valid enhanced DBS covering both the Child and Adult Workforce is required.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach is important.

The school provides specialist education for children and young people aged 8-18 years across two sites, supporting learners with a range of special educational needs, is looking to take on a Maths Teacher on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Maths Teacher. The successful Maths Teacher will deliver Maths across the school, adapting lessons to meet individual needs while maintaining a positive, structured and supportive classroom environment.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Maths specialism
• Experience teaching Maths to children and young people
• Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH needsA valid enhanced DBS covering both the Child and Adult Workforce
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
