Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a nurture Maths Teacher with QTS for a long-term position through to the end of the academic year, with potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

You will teach across KS3/KS4 and KS5, preparing students for GCSEs while delivering high-quality lessons and following the school’s schemes of learning. DBS clearance and safeguarding responsibilities are part of the role.

Qualifications

• QTS with Maths specialism (ECTs welcome)
• Experience teaching Maths up to KS4/KS5
• Excellent classroom management

Salary Range: £150 - £190

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school based in Stoke. The school supports students with SEMH / Social Emotional Mental Health and EBD / Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. This school that supports 11-19 year olds boasts fantastic leadership and offers opportunities both inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally.

The HeadTeacher is looking to take on a nurturing and committed Maths Teacher with QTS, on a Long-Term basis until the end of the academic year. This will lead to a permanent position for the right Maths Teacher. The successful Maths Teacher will be working across both Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4/ KS4, including exam preparation for GCSE’s. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

The successful Maths Teacherwill have:

• QTS with Maths specialism (ECT’s are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Maths up to Key Stage 4 / KS4 or Key Stage 5 / KS5
• Excellent classroom management
