Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Maths Tutor for an alternative provision in Nottingham. The role is full-time, temporary to permanent, with a focus on supporting students in educational settings, including those with SEND/SEMH.

The tutor will deliver Maths sessions 1:1 and in groups, maintaining a calm, patient approach and a strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare. Applicants should be passionate about working with children and able to adapt to different learning needs;

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH.
• Knowledge and ability to tutor Maths.
• Passion for working with children in a relevant setting.
• Ability to stay calm and patient and understanding.
• Ability to work with students 1:1 and in groups.
• QTS is desirable but not essential.

We are currently working closely with a fantastic alternative provision in Nottingham, who are looking for an experienced, committed and passionate Maths tutor to join them on a full time, temp to perm basis.

Qualifications

In order to be successful for this role you must have:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH
• Knowledge and the ability to tutor Maths
• A passion for working closely with children in a relevant setting
• Ability to stay calm and patient and understanding
• Ability to work with the students both 121 and in groups
• A QTS is desireable but not essential
