Macmillan Academy in Middlesbrough, Teesside is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Mathematics to support students in KS3/KS4 and to deliver GCSE interventions. The role is 30 hours per week during term time plus 5 training days, with a salary of £23,745.

This permanent post involves working in the mathematics department to help students overcome learning barriers, track progress, and adapt approaches for those with SEND. Start date as soon as possible.

• Supporting students with special educational needs at KS3 and KS4.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Mansioni

• Delivering high-quality KS3 numeracy interventions, adapting and creating resources.
• Planning and delivering GCSE Foundation and Higher tier interventions.
• Helping identify students who need extra support and choosing the right intervention for them.
• Tracking progress and feeding back to teachers on misconceptions and next steps.
• Supporting individuals and groups in mainstream maths lessons.
