Willenhall E-ACT Academy is seeking a senior leader to head the Mathematics department, focusing on curriculum planning, assessment and targeted interventions. The role requires QTS and a Mathematics-related degree, with visa sponsorship not available, and a start date of 1 January 2027.

You will model best practice, coach colleagues and work with academy leaders to raise attainment and deliver improvement priorities across Mathematics, including Statistics.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject is required.
• Proven leadership experience in a school setting is essential.
• Experience improving student attainment and curriculum delivery is expected.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop high-quality teaching and learning across the Mathematics department.
• Lead planning, implementation and monitoring of the Mathematics curriculum.
• Drive curriculum planning, assessment and intervention strategies to raise attainment and progress.
• Use assessment data to inform interventions.
• Model outstanding classroom practice.
• Coach and develop colleagues through mentoring and professional development.
• Monitor and analyse performance data and act to close achievement gaps.
• Promote high expectations and a culture of ambition.
• Oversee Statistics and contribute to academy improvement priorities.
• Collaborate with academy leaders to strengthen Mathematics outcomes.
