Greenbank High School is seeking a dedicated Mathematics teacher to deliver high-quality lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4. The role includes acting as a Personal Tutor, monitoring student progress through data and supporting pupils’ personal development.

Qualifications

Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide high quality teaching and learning experiences for pupils.
  • Fulfil the role of Personal Tutor to students.
Teaching and Learning
  • Teach Mathematics at Key stage 3 and 4
  • Monitor data and identify emerging needs from student data
  • Consistently deliver well-planned lessons that achieve high outcomes
  • Liaise with students, staff and parents as required to ensure high standards
  • As a form tutor, support the personal development of pupils
  • Manage behaviour effectively of children within classrooms and around the school
  • Understand and fulfil the requirements of school policies
  • Support the departmental pupil premium and more able strategies
  • Support in transition from Key stage 2 and post 16 options

  • Always adhere to professional business standards of dress, courtesy, and efficiency in line with the ethos and specialism of the school.
  • Attend subject and staff meetings.
  • Attend and participate in open evenings, parents evening and other school events.
  • Uphold the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy and Pupil Dress Code.
  • Be responsible for ensuring subject knowledge is developed and participate in staff training and development.
  • Work collaboratively with other schools as an employee of the Southport Learning Trust.
