Job summary

Park School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a Maths Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons and support pupils across secondary age ranges. You will foster an inclusive environment and collaborate with the wider team, families and external professionals to support each pupil's progress.

QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification is required, with experience in SEN or specialist settings desirable. A strong commitment to high expectations and pupil wellbeing is essential.

  • Experience teaching Maths to secondary age pupils.
  • High expectations and belief that every child can succeed.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • SEN or specialist setting experience desirable but not essential.

Job description

As our Maths Teacher, you'll do more than teach a subject, you'll help pupils discover what they're capable of. Through creative, engaging and highly personalised lessons, you'll make maths accessible, build confidence and inspire a genuine love of learning. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you'll create a classroom where every pupil feels safe, understood and encouraged to succeed. You'll adapt your teaching to overcome individual barriers, celebrate progress and help pupils develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond. You may also take on the role of Form Tutor, becoming a key source of support and encouragement for your pupils. From championing their pastoral development to working alongside families, professionals and Teaching Assistants, you'll help create a consistent support network that enables every young person to reach their potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic progress.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider school life.
  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
  • Experience teaching Maths across secondary age pupils.
