Job summary

The Kingston Academy seeks an ambitious Mathematics Mentor to support pupils by delivering targeted numeracy interventions, in-class support and small-group coaching. Working with the Mathematics Department, you will identify gaps, build confidence and help students progress while gaining classroom experience toward a career in teaching.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils of different ages and abilities.
• Ambition to develop each child to their maximum potential.
• Flexible and approachable, resilient and calm under pressure, and demonstrate good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen pupils’ mathematical foundations and fluency through interventions.
• Identify gaps in learning and address them via structured interventions.
• Provide in-class support and lead individual or small-group teaching.
• Build positive relationships to support progress.
