Job summary

Stockport School is seeking an Academic Mentor - Specialist Subject Tutor to support Maths in class and in small groups across KS3/KS4, including a focus on Y11 GCSE students.

The role aims to help students strengthen core maths skills and overall academic progress while promoting well-being. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical teaching experience within a supportive school setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (C/4 or above) required.
• GCSE Mathematics (C/4 or above) required.
• Graduate with an honours degree or higher qualification is desirable.
• QTS or HLTA status is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Maths teaching in class and in small groups across KS3/KS4, including a focus on Y11 GCSE students.
• Help students develop core academic skills and promote wellbeing and progress.
• Contribute to safeguarding and maintain a supportive learning environment.
