A leading healthcare provider is seeking a compassionate Maternity Support Worker to assist in delivering excellent patient care. The role involves supporting nursing teams, performing blood tests, and ensuring a clean environment. Join a supportive team with opportunities for development and progression.
We’re looking for a compassionate and caring Maternity Support Worker with a passion to be a key part of the patient care journey at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). Our Maternity Support Workers take pride in their essential work, going the extra mile for patients day in, day out. Our nursing teams are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care to patients and families.
You will communicate sensitively and compassionately with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team, working flexibly across day and night shifts, 7 days a week.
If you're new to healthcare, you'll be supported through our Support Worker Development Programme, which can lead to progression into a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker role. Experienced workers will undergo a skills analysis to identify any knowledge gaps and access relevant clinical modules for progression. Evidence of prior learning will be reviewed and considered.
