Main duties of the job
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for providing the UEL Materials Management Service within UEL-managed areas. This role will be based at the Hampshire Orthopaedic Centre (HOC) located within Winchester Hospital, but may require coverage at other UEL-managed locations, in line with JD banding.
Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between clinical teams, suppliers, and Materials Management Assistants.

Person specification
Physical requirements include lifting and handling boxes up to 20kgs and manoeuvring cages of goods (up to 180kgs) safely.
Qualifications / Training Required
Essential criteria include GCSEs in English and Maths, basic Microsoft Office skills, and procurement or business administration qualifications or equivalent experience in materials management.
Previous relevant experience includes working in operational environments, materials management, dealing with staff at all levels, and customer service.
Desirable criteria include supervisory experience and NHS experience.
