Based in Westhill, you'll work across a portfolio of nationally significant projects, ensuring materials, equipment and logistics activities are planned, coordinated and managed effectively to support successful project delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in project coordination, logistics, project controls or construction administration to join one of the UK's leading infrastructure businesses at a time of unprecedented investment in the electricity network.

What you'll be doing

You’ll provide vital coordination across materials management, logistics, storage, commercial administration and project governance activities, helping to ensure projects have the right materials in the right place at the right time.

Key responsibilities include:

Logistics Planning & Coordination
  • Support the development and management of project logistics strategies and plans.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules for key equipment and materials across multiple ASTI projects.
  • Integrate supplier delivery plans into construction programmes to minimise disruption.
  • Support the planning and coordination of type testing requirements within delivery programmes.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure materials are available to support programme milestones.
Transport Management
  • Assist in arranging specialist transport solutions for oversized and heavy equipment.
  • Prepare and manage transport booking documentation with internal and external suppliers.
  • Support the development of load-out processes and associated documentation.
  • Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve potential issues and delays.
Storage & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate storage arrangements for materials and equipment across site and off-site locations.
  • Help identify suitable storage solutions based on project and subcontractor requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are stored safely and correctly.
  • Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to align storage capacity with planned deliveries.
Quality & Governance
  • Support project quality teams with material inspection and quality control processes.
  • Assist with managing quality-related issues and NCRs.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the resolution of supplier quality concerns.
  • Ensure project documentation and records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key link between project teams, suppliers, subcontractors and logistics providers.
  • Provide regular updates on logistics performance, deliveries and materials availability.
  • Escalate risks or issues promptly and help develop practical mitigation solutions.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
  • Support compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Promote best practice across logistics and materials management activities.
  • Work with the Sustainability team to support carbon reporting and environmental initiatives.
  • Help drive efficiencies that reduce waste and environmental impacts across projects.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Produce and maintain logistics performance reports and key project metrics.
  • Track storage utilisation and identify future capacity requirements.
  • Analyse performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support project close-out activities, lessons learned and materials planning strategies.
Who we're looking for

We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience in project coordination, logistics, project controls, administrative support or materials management within construction, utilities, engineering or infrastructure environments.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience supporting large construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across project and support functions.
  • Experience working with digital project systems and reporting tools.
  • A full UK driving licence.
