Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Material Inventory Controller for a 6-month contract based at Brize Norton, fully onsite. You will manage UK fleet material requirements in line with MTC and GSS3 contracts, handling orders and stock movements within a busy logistics environment.

The role requires SAP and Excel proficiency, driving license, and knowledge of COSHH; EASA Part 145 knowledge is a plus. 35 hours weekly, hourly rate £24.47 via Umbrella, inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Driving license is essential for on-site duties.
• Experience in a material support or supply chain role.
• Proficiency with SAP SP1 and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of COSHH/HazMat regulations.
• EASA Part 145 knowledge is advantageous; Forklift licenses optional.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all documented Quality System procedures during operations.
• Process material orders and movements in priority order.
• Unload/handle items per logistics and airworthiness directives.
• Perform pick, pack and system transactions correctly.
• Sort documents before packing/box closure.
• Confirm movements in SAP and link paperwork with parts.
• Store stock in correct locations after picking/packing.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment at all times.
• Strive to improve quality of work wherever possible.
• Notify manager of process errors or system issues promptly.
• Assist Warehouse Management with ad hoc requests.
• Operate cross-functionally across inbound/outbound warehousing.
• Assist Receiving and other warehouse activities.
• Carry out stock checks when requested.

Job description

Our client has an opportunity for a Material Inventory Controller to join them on a 6-month contract.

The Material Inventory Controller, working as part of the Logistics/Warehouse team are responsible for the handling and management of all material requirements within the UK fleet in accordance with MTC and GSS3 contracts.

Role: Material Inventory Controller
Location: Brize Norton - fully onsite
Hourly Rate: 24.47 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required to start
Hours: 35 hours per week

What you'll be doing:

• Adhere to all documented Company Quality System procedures when carrying out operational duties.
• Conduct material orders/movements in the correct priority sequence.
• Ensure all items are unloaded/handled according to the logistics/airworthiness directives.
• Ensure all pick, pack and handling system transactions are performed correctly.
• Ensure all documents printed are in order by sorting them before packing/box closure.
• Ensure all physical movements are following by confirmation in SAP system and link paperwork properly with the parts when required.
• Put stock away in the correct location after picking and/or packing.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained at all times.
• Endeavour to improve quality of work wherever possible.
• Inform the Manager/Team Leader of any process errors or system issues in a timely manner.
• Assist the Warehouse Management with any reasonable adhoc request.
• To operate cross functionally across the Warehouse functions (inbound, outbound)
• To assist Receiving and other warehouse activities.
• Carry out stock checks when requested

Requirements: Essential

• Driving License Essential
• Experience in a Material support/Supply chain role
• Be proficient in the use of the appropriate Warehouse management and Information systems (SAP SP1, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
• An understanding of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations
• Preferably active Civilian Forklift Counterbalance Truck and Reach truck driving license
• The ideal candidate should be service minded, able to multi-task, thorough & tidy, and able to cooperate in a team.
• Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations.
• Be proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
