Job summary

Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a Material Controller for an onsite, 12-month sub-contract with a global aerospace and defence manufacturing client. The role focuses on material and supply requirements to maintain operations and resolve issues.

You will coordinate with customers, manage delivery schedules, escalate critical parts, and drive supply chain efficiency. SAP proficiency and strong communication are essential, with experience in reporting and risk identification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Material management role.
• Experience of SAP.
• Person who is familiar with attending meetings.
• Building customer relationships.
• Problem solving. Able to identify risk.
• Reporting experience within Supply chain.
• Proficient in SAP SP1, SAP HANA, Airnnav, Microsoft Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all material and supply requirements needed to resolve ongoing maintenance and technical issues.
• Help resolve critical breakdowns or urgent site stoppages, including participating in daily escalation calls.
• Provide fast-track escalation for critical parts that threaten to stop work or cause operational downtime.
• Coordinate directly with the customer on material orders. If delivery estimates fail to meet required dates, escalated promptly to the next level.
• Proactively follow up on delayed deliveries, resolve missing or incorrect paperwork, fix incomplete requisitions, and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
• Attend daily operational planning meetings to align priorities across teams.

We are working with a Globally known manufacturing company within the Aerospace & Defence / Manufacturing industry. Due to increase in work, an opportunity has arisen for a Material Controller on an initial 12 month Sub-Contract in the Oxfordshire area.
