Job summary

Belcan is seeking a proactive Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller to join our client's logistics operation in Stevenage. This six-month contract (inside IR35) supports production, assembly and test schedules by ensuring timely delivery of kits, consumables and equipment.

You will compile and deliver kits, maintain stock visibility, manage hazardous and high‑value items, and perform cycle counts. You’ll assist dispatch, customs paperwork and transport bookings.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths is required.
• Experience in inventory management and stock control.
• SAP or similar ERP experience.
• IT literate with knowledge of GSuite or similar systems.
• Experience in a Class 100 clean room environment.
• Experience handling flight, hazardous, sensitive or high-value equipment.
• Experience with kit compilation and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Compile and deliver kits, consumables and raw materials to production, assembly, integration and test areas.
• Maintain visibility and control of kits during storage and distribution activities.
• Manage hazardous, high-value and sensitive equipment.
• Perform regular cycle counts and contribute to daily kit status reporting.
• Support 5S activities and coordinate interplant material shipments.
• Assist with dispatch activities including dangerous goods documentation, customs paperwork and transport bookings.
• Support wider logistics teams when required.

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller to join our client's logistics operation in Stevenage!

Overview

The Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller will play a key role in ensuring materials, consumables and equipment are accurately managed and delivered to support production and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller, you will be responsible for compiling and delivering kits, consumables and raw materials to production, assembly, integration and test areas. You'll maintain visibility and control of kits throughout storage and distribution activities, manage hazardous, high-value and sensitive equipment, perform regular cycle counts, contribute to daily kit status reporting, support 5S activities and coordinate interplant material shipments. You will also assist with dispatch activities including dangerous goods documentation, customs paperwork and transport bookings while supporting wider logistics teams when required.

Requirements

Essential

• GCSE standard in Maths.
• Experience in inventory management and stock control.
• SAP or similar experience.
• IT literate with good knowledge of GSuite or similar business systems.
• Experience working within a Class 100 clean room environment.
• Experience handling flight, hazardous, sensitive or high-value equipment.
• Experience with kit compilation and logistics operations.
