Job summary

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in London is seeking a Master to work with the Head of Fleet Operations and senior masters to ensure safe operations and a great passenger experience.

You will lead the team on vessel operations, oversee maintenance, perform defect and incident reporting, and ensure ISM/HSCC compliance while protecting revenue and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• MCA Boat Master’s Licence, Tier 1 Level 2 or an equivalent transferable licence.
• Current ML5 or ENG 1 Medical Certificate.
• Experience with ISM and HSCC compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of the vessel under the Thames Clipper SMS.
• Operate Thames Clipper vessels to high standards and maintain vessel condition.
• Carry out defect and incident reporting and routine maintenance tasks.
• Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service and revenue protection.
• Inspect boarding locations to ensure proper ticket checks and revenue protection.
• Promote great customer experience and vessel housekeeping in close quarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Thesafe operation of the vessel under the Thames Clipper Safety Management System(SMS)
• Ensuring the Thames Clippervessels are operated to the highest possible standards
• Maintaining the vessel, incompliance with all relevant legislation
• Carry out good shipmanagement duties, defect & incident reporting;
• Operating Thames Clippervessels in alignment with our service delivery requirements, with a primaryemphasis on maintaining customer satisfaction & vessel housekeeping
• Ensure team membersdiligently inspect tickets at boarding locations, placing a significantemphasis on revenue protection
• Leadyour team in delivering great customer service, ensuring a great experience forall
