Job summary

Northumbria Police is seeking a MASH Investigation Support Officer to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. You will conduct research, produce reports, and represent the Force at safeguarding meetings, handling DVDS/CSODS referrals and QA of domestic abuse referrals while supporting safeguarding partners.

The role requires safeguarding experience, accreditation to PIP Level 1 (or willingness to achieve), and the ability to travel across the force area.

Qualifications

• Recent experience of working within a safeguarding environment is desirable to support integration into the role.
• Must be accredited to PIP Level 1 or prepared to work towards PIP Level 1 accreditation.
• You will undertake the designated functions with associated powers conferred by the Chief Constable under the Police Reform Act 2002 (as amended by the Policing and Crime Act 2017).
• Applicant must be able to travel around the force area.

Responsibilities

• Research, collate and evaluate information from Police systems and databases to produce reports for MASH decisions.
• Undertake risk analysis and document rationale, escalating where appropriate.
• Maintain quality assurance for information sharing with partner agencies.
• Respond to information requests from internal and external sources to support MASH protocols.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for Multi Agency Safeguarding Meetings.
