Job summary

Opus People Solutions Limited is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Peterborough Borough Council MASH team to triage new referrals, assess risk, and determine safeguarding needs. Based at Sand Martin House, the role involves coordinating with police, health, education and other partners to safeguard children.

The post requires a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration, experience in Children’s Social Care and the ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Triage and screen new referrals into the MASH.
• Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to assess risk and need.
• Apply safeguarding thresholds confidently and consistently.
• Make timely decisions regarding intervention and safeguarding actions.
• Undertake robust risk assessments and formulate recommendations.
• Work with partner agencies to ensure effective multi-agency safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.
• Contribute to a child-centred service that promotes positive outcomes.
• Support safeguarding practice within statutory timescales.
