Job summary

Peterborough City Council is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will triage referrals, gather information, assess needs and make timely decisions about safeguarding interventions for children and families.

Working with partner agencies and Team Managers, you will apply professional judgment, maintain your Continuing Professional Development, and help keep children at the heart of every decision in a fast-paced, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Strong leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Experience working with internal and external partners.
• In-depth knowledge of legal and policy frameworks in Children's Services.

Responsibilities

• Triage new referrals, assess information, and determine safeguarding needs.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to plan interventions for children and families.
• Make timely decisions on interventions using professional judgment.
• Contribute to a supportive, high-performing MASH team environment.
