Job summary

Leaders in Care is assisting a large local authority in Greater Manchester to recruit a Social Worker for the MASH Team. This frontline role sits at the point of referral, influencing intervention and support for vulnerable children and families.

In a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, you will work with health, education, police and early help services to collect information, make informed decisions and ensure appropriate safeguarding responses.

Qualifications

• Experience in a MASH, Duty or Assessment Team is essential.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills are required.
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding thresholds and statutory responsibilities.
• Able to work effectively with multi-agency partners and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Frontline role at the point of referral, shaping intervention and support for vulnerable children and families.
• Collaborate with health, education, police and early help services to gather information and make informed safeguarding decisions.
• Manage initial assessments and short-term interventions with clear handovers to longer-term teams.
