Citi Belfast is seeking an In-Business Markets Operations Intermediate Analyst to strengthen risk oversight across Markets Operations by partnering with control groups and operations teams. You will help identify, assess, and reduce operational risk while supporting governance and regulatory compliance.

In this hybrid role, you will contribute to audits, perform root-cause analysis, and develop actionable risk reports for senior management, applying risk-management frameworks and strong data

Qualifications

• Operational risk, controls, compliance or governance experience in financial services.
• Experience with risk and control assessment methodologies and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to evaluate activities against laws and standards.
• Experience coordinating governance mechanisms and applying risk management frameworks.
• Ability to produce clear, concise reports and procedural materials.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and databases for risk analysis.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Support audits across Markets Operations and drive remediation of findings.
• Conduct root cause analysis on risk events and issues.
• Assess controls and implement enhancements to reduce risk.
• Monitor adherence to the ERMF and compliance policies.
• Evaluate activities against regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with second and third lines of defense on action plans.
• Produce standardized risk and controls reporting for senior management.
