Job summary

Citi Belfast is seeking an In-Business Markets Operations Intermediate Analyst to help identify, assess, and reduce operational risk across a globally connected function. You will partner with operations teams and control groups to strengthen risk management and deliver improvements to the control environment.

You will support audits, perform root cause analyses, and help implement control enhancements while contributing to risk reporting for senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting operational risk, controls, or governance within financial services.
• Ability to identify root cause and formulate corrective measures.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency with advanced Excel and risk data management.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements across Markets Operations and drive remediation.
• Conduct root cause analysis on risk events to inform control improvements.
• Assess effectiveness of controls and implement enhancements to reduce risk.
• Monitor compliance with ERMF and policies, escalating issues when standards are not met.
• Coordinate with second and third lines of defense to track corrective actions.
• Produce risk and controls reporting for senior management, governance committees and regulators.
