Job summary

Stockport Nub News is partnering with a leading European home and lifestyle business to recruit a Marketplace Manager for Europe. You will identify opportunities, build a European expansion plan and lead launches from go-to-list to go-live, shaping new revenue streams.

Reporting into senior management, you will develop relationships with new marketplace partners, assess markets, and create market-specific assortments, pricing and stock strategies across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience within ecommerce marketplaces or online retail.
• Strong track record launching or growing new marketplace channels.
• Good knowledge of the UK and European marketplace landscape.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise new marketplace opportunities across Europe.
• Build and deliver a European marketplace expansion strategy.
• Lead new marketplace launches from initial opportunity through to go-live.
• Develop commercial relationships with new marketplace partners.
• Assess new countries, platforms and routes to market.
• Build market-specific product assortments and trading plans.
• Own sales, margin, pricing, promotions and stock performance across your portfolio.
• Analyse marketplace, customer and competitor data to identify new growth opportunities.
• Work closely with Product, Licensing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Creative teams.
• Create repeatable processes that allow new marketplaces to be launched and scaled efficiently.

This is a high-growth opportunity for someone who wants to build, launch and scale new marketplace channels across Europe.

The business already has an established ecommerce operation, but the next phase is about identifying where the biggest marketplace opportunities sit across the EU, launching into new territories and building a scalable model for future growth.

This is not a traditional Amazon account management role. We are looking for a commercially driven, entrepreneurial marketplace specialist who enjoys spotting opportunities, opening doors and turning new channels into meaningful revenue.

The Role

About You

We are looking for a genuine go-getter - someone commercially ambitious who can take an opportunity and run with it.

You Will Ideally Have

• Experience within ecommerce marketplaces or online retail
• A strong track record of launching or growing new marketplace channels
• Good knowledge of the UK and European marketplace landscape
• Experience entering new markets, territories or commercial partnerships
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• Confidence negotiating with external marketplace partners
• A strong understanding of pricing, margin, assortment, promotions and stock
• The ability to work independently and drive projects forward
• European marketplace experience would be highly advantageous
