Job summary

WSP is seeking a Director of Maritime Engineering to lead the organisational performance, technical direction and sustainable growth of the Maritime Engineering team across the UK, Ireland, Europe and select international markets. You will shape the future of ports, terminals and maritime infrastructure with a global network of engineers and advisors.

You will oversee performance, governance, commercial and client engagement, while driving innovation and responsible management of resources,

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in maritime, ports or terminal engineering.
• People-management covering recruitment, objective setting and performance management.
• Accountability for cost-centre, budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
• Track record as Project Director or equivalent on major commissions.
• Strong credentials across marine infrastructure incl. terminal planning and civil delivery.
• Knowledge of governance, design assurance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own overall performance of the Maritime Engineering team and set priorities.
• Lead a high-performing, inclusive team and develop future leaders.
• Provide oversight for major commissions ensuring scope, budget and quality.
• Maintain portfolios' profitability and manage risks across programmes.
• Set technical standards and ensure appropriate governance and approvals.
