Job summary

WSP is seeking a Director of Maritime Engineering to lead organizational performance, technical direction and sustainable growth of the Maritime Engineering team across the UK, Ireland, Europe and selected international markets.

You will oversee major commissions, ensure programme and budget adherence, and drive innovation, governance and client engagement while developing leaders and shaping the future of ports and maritime infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in maritime, ports or terminal engineering.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios.
• Demonstrated track record in commercial and client-facing activities.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall performance of the Maritime Engineering team and set priorities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing, inclusive team.
• Provide oversight for major commissions, ensuring scope, programme and budget adherence.
• Manage cost-centre performance, budgets and resource allocation.
• Maintain technical governance and design accountability across projects.
